I agree that no one wants to be called jealous because it is associated with them behaving a certain way that is unappealing. I think that having the feeling of jealousy is an acceptable feeling to have and we should not feel bad about ourselves when we are jealous. I talked about this topic with my roommates and male friends and they agreed that they don’t like to feel jealousy, but they are not ashamed that they do feel this way at times. I think jealously can help people appreciate their partners more and try to pay more attention to them and not others. So jealousy can have a positive effect, but of course it can also have a very negative side.
