I think it is because of the menstral cycle that women can generally be viewed to have a lower sex drive than males. There are certain times of the month where women would have a higher sex drive and times where it would be lower. Men's sex drive seems to be fairly consistent no matter what time of the month it is. I think the fact that women have a "down time" contributes to it. I don't think the fact that it women have to work harder for an orgasm makes it more likely that we would have a higher sex drive. Pretty much everytime a man has sex, he has an orgasm, so it would make sense that his sex drive is high because he is always being rewarded and satisfied. Women do not always have orgasms when they have sex, so while the sex may be nice, they are not being completely satisfied everytime. Some friends have told me the fact that it takes so long to have an orgasm can kill the mood. They will fake just to be able to stop, or they will just stop because they are tired. Repeated experiences like this might lower the sex drive because they consistently have to work harder for incomplete satisfaction. I don't know if that makes sense or not.
