I apologize “accuracy” probably wasn’t the best word to use to get my point across. I just feel that participants would be just blindly choosing a figure without any idea as to why they chose that figure. For example last year figures were presented to students entering the cafeteria. When my friends and I were asked to pick a body type we knew which end of the spectrum we liked (small, moderate, or large) however within each weight class we just said, “I guess that one”. After one person chose a particular body type the rest not seeing the differences in the body type chose the same figure sort of more as compliance than their actual decision. However being this study seems to usually have the same results maybe your just supposed to choose with uncertainty. I guess I would just like to see a follow up as to someone picking their picture and who that same person has as a date or at least who they find most attractive in a public setting with many options. I should probably also state that I only meant this for pictures of drawn figures and not pictures of an actual human body.
