I think technology, specifically the internet has changed how the wheel theory would work because i actually think need for fulfillment would come first. People use dating websites to find people who want similar things that they want in relationships. Then I think self revelation might come next but at the same time as rapport. I think it would be easier to reveal a lot about yoruself to someone online because you don't actually have to sit and look at them while you're talking. Since you don't have to see the other person's physical reactions to what you say, you may not care what you reveal. Although if you look at the Filter theory. The internet may let it stay the same but in different ways. Just looking at ads for different dating websites you can see that they obviously allow people to put pictures in profiles. Maybe people really do just look at social attributes like how a person looks. Then they may talk to them and start talking about their values more than you would with people in the bar but the theory's order is intact. Maybe technology doesn't change any of the theories, it just speeds them up.
