I think what is attractive to any individual changes almost constantly. In highschool I was attracted to popularity and physical attractiveness...very simple and very shallow. I think that what attracts you is dependent on the time period of your life; for example, in highschool (like many teens) I was self conscious and thought that popularity and physical attractiveness were important. Now what I find attractive is intelligence and a similar upbringing. My boyfriend is smart, polite, and while he doesnt wash his jeans nearly as often as he should... what I find especially attractive in him is not what I would have looked for when I was younger. Attraction definitely alters with age and with experiences. It depends on what you see in yourself and now I think it's important to find somebody that brings out the person you like to be rather than find somebody that makes you feel like somebody else.
