Well, speaking from the perspective of never having been kissed (I know you are all so shocked *sarcasm*), I feel like the only thing I'll be thinking when and if it ever does happen is "please, don't let me screw this up." My mom has told me many times that kissing for the first time is not like in the movies. You don't just kiss perfectly and everything's wonderful. She told me it is awkward for every new person you date because you have to get used to how they kiss and how you kiss when you are with them. Some of my friends have told me the same thing. I don't know how you all feel about that. I think that it is important to pay attention to the person as a whole. One moment may be nice, but will it last? There are more important things to consider, and I definitely agree that kissing can be worked on until both people are comfortable. However, if the personality is not there, or strong mutual feelings, then "a kiss is just a kiss."
